We understand that flexibility is the key and we do our utmost to accommodate

A lot of questions we are asked are already answered throughout our website, however we have listed a few of the most common ones below, if you want any specific questions answered do not hesitate to contact us

How much do Stax of Soul cost?

The cost of the band is derived from many contributing factors i.e. how far we have to travel, set-up and performance times, date etc. please contact us for a tailor-made quote.

How long do Stax of Soul play for?

Our usual live performance is 1 x 75 minutes set plus encore or 2 x 45 minute sets plus encore. However by far the best scenario is the 1 x 75 minutes set, this is based purely on experience.

Do Stax of Soul supply their own equipment?

Yes, the band will bring their own top quality PA system and Lighting complete with our own Sound Engineer. Our own equipment is suitable for most events, however if the Venue is particularly large we would have to hire in equipment. The cost of this would reflect in the band’s fee.

Do Stax of Soul have public liability insurance?

Yes, we have - £5,000,000.

Can I see Stax of Soul perform before I decide to book them?

In some circumstances this may be possible, however many of our bookings are for private events, please feel free to ask though.

Can I reserve Stax of Soul without confirming the booking with a deposit?

You can ‘pencil’ a date which will be held for up to 14 days

I WANT TO BOOK STAX, what do I need to do?

We will prepare a simple contract and send (or email) 2 copies to you. You need to sign both copies of the contract and return them with your deposit. We will then sign both copies and return one to you. A contract is important for both you and the band – you need to be absolutely certain that we won’t cancel and we need to know that we can confidently turn down other offers of work on your date.

Do we need to provide food and drink for Stax of Soul?

To be fed and watered is always greatly appreciated but not a stipulation.

Does Stax of Soul need a stage?

Yes if it’s a suitable size and the whole band can fit onto it comfortably – a minimum of about 15’ wide x 9’ deep – although we have been known to squeeze on smaller, however if it’s bigger even better! If a stage is not available the band are just as happy to set up and perform on the same size as above floor area.

How loud is Stax of Soul?

The sound is tailored to the venue to ensure that the volume is loud enough but not too loud. If you have any concerns you can speak to our Sound Engineer who will be more than obliging.

I have my own DJ and Band; can they use Stax of Soul’s equipment?

Our equipment is for the sole use of Stax of Soul.

How long does Stax of Soul require to set-up?

Approximately one hour.

Stax of Soul use the following Sound & Lighting Equipment:

• Top quality 3K Logic PA System
• Shure SM58 Microphones
• Stage Lighting
• 8 x PAR 56's with Control Unit
• Allen & Heath 16 channel desk

Staging can be supplied at an additional cost. We also bring our own Sound & Lighting Engineer. Whilst the above is suitable for most venues, for larger events we can hire in equipment to suit.

All our equipment is PAT tested and we carry 5 million pounds public liability insurance.
